CleanWaters best management practices (BMPs) focusing on drainage and leaching
BMPs to reduce water pollution with plant protection products from drainage and leaching. Leaching is the process of pesticide movement with water flowing down in the soil profile. Drainage, in turn, covers the case when this water flows into a subsurface drainage network connected to surface water, while leaching covers the case when it flows into groundwater. If not managed properly, this water movement can cause water contamination.
